It's a celebration

Evening all,

Back again with another Jubilee themed card.............

Used the Pennant Parade stamps and punch- bunting is everywhere at the moment. A bit of Twitterpated paper and a few retired stamp sets but shows the value of getting them while you can, you never know when they will come in useful !

A quick little one, easy to rustle up when in a hurry.
Back with another patriotic  version next time x

Evening all, how are we ?

Saturday again, don't the weeks just fly by? Can't believe it's nearly June - and I haven't even made a Christmas card yet ! By this time last year I had made about 50 so I am waaaay behind . Must get a move on !

Todays card is the first of a few I've made with the sort of 'Summer of Celebration' feel. What with the Jubilee, the European Championships and the Olympics, everything from crockery to bedlinen has turned red, white and blue ! Rather than the traditional bright shades I decided to use more muted shades............

Baja Breeze, Whisper White and Cherry Cobbler. Stamp set is from Crazy for Cupcakes.

Anyone having a street party ? I remember having one for the Silver Jubilee and my Mom made my sister and I matching red, white and blue dresses

My girls were amazed that the phone looked like that ! How times have changed .............

That Bunny again !

Evening all

I've not posted any cards using the Everbunny set for a short while so I will show you the cards I made for my niece's recent birthday......

This one was off my girls, love paper piecing occasionally and this paper is from the Hostess pack. Used the new Baker's twine too. Have definitely had my money's worth from this set, definitely for life and not just for Easter lol !

Mixed Bunch again on this one and some gorgeous Melon Mambo spotty ribbon.

Different shapes and sizes but love how the papers 'tie' the two cards together. If you would like to find out more about earning hostess products please email me on mrsjuliewade@sky.com.
There are plenty of goodies to choose from !

Surprise Pressie

Happy Saturday to you all !

After Wolves were relegated I (mistakenly) thought that was the end of the football for a few short weeks at least, but today Hubby has had on the Play Off final this afternoon and now tonight is planning on watching Chelsea in the Champions League final !  Must organise the list of jobs I want him to do before he disappears every Saturday again lol.

No one has'claimed' the birthday card but Sharon has come up with a suggestion, thank you !

I have another card to show you, this time made by my friend Angie........

Fab isn't it ? Love the colours too. I also received a beautifully decorated gift bag with a SU pressie inside !

It was such a lovely surprise to get a new stamp set without ordering it myself ! Thanks Angie you made my day!

Off to give Chelsea a shout otherwise known as  have a look at Jamie Redknapp  giving his expert opinion ! x

It's a mystery

Evening all,

I've had a funny old start to the week, on Monday my car broke down and I had to be rescued by a very nice man from the AA. My car was taken to a local garage and as it was my birthday yesterday I asked the man if he could ring Hubby and tell him I needed a new one complete with a ribbon round it (SU of course lol ! ). Anyway it wasn't terminal and 3 days (and £176! ) later I've now got my car back.
I had booked the day off work and planned to go out but was stuck at home watching the rain, hail, snow and thunder !

I did receive some lovely cards and pressies and I will show you some next time but firstly I need your help with one little mystery...........

Through the post I received this beautiful card..............

Stunning isn't it ? But the message inside..............

So I haven't got a clue who the lovely sender was !!! If it was you please let me know ! Don't be embarrassed because I have done this before on more than one occasion lol !

Hope the mystery will be solved soon and thank you to everyone for their birthday wishes x

Monster Morning

Happy Saturday and it's dry and sunny too ! Makes a change.

You know when the alarm goes off at 6am every day and so you look forward to a lie in at the weekend ? Okay so why was I wide awake at 5.50 this morning ???
I tried to go back to sleep but it wasn't happening so I decided to get up and make a few cards as I've got quite a few to send this week. I'd made 4 cards before 8 am ! Maybe I should do this more often lol.
One of the cards was for Isabel to take to a party today for one of the boys in her class. I decided to use the Make a Monster set as it's been a bit neglected recently. I honestly think this set should be sold as a form of therapy as it is impossible to use it without smiling and it is such fun experimenting with the different facial combinations.

The paper is now sadly retired  but was one I stocked up on as it's perfect for male cards. If you love a certain paper pack it's worth getting a few because all too soon they are no more ! I think my favourite from the new Summer Mini catalogue is going to be Twitterpated but Attic Boutique is coming a close second. Which is your favourite ?

Better go and wrap the present up, back soon x

The old and the new

Evening all,

Wednesday again, where do the weeks go ? Still I like Wednesdays because its my weekly card class and we always have fun !
For this weeks projects I decided to mix some of my old favourites with some of the new products. When I first started using Stampin Up products my favourite colour combination was Rich Razzleberry and Old Olive but I realised I hadn't used these in ages. Funny, how we change isn't it ?
Anyway I decided 'for old times sake ' lol to use dust off Trendy Trees and Vintage Vogue too. These stamps look good in endless colour combinations. Used up a few scraps of retired designer paper too.
I also let my ladies play with the new Framelits and the Apothercary Art stamps. Want to see what we made ?

And a little Post It note holder, very easy to make with my new Scoreboard !

Still love this colour combination and I think the class did too !

Mixed Bunch

Happy Saturday to you !

Hope you are all well and making the most of the miserable weather to get crafting. I've got so many 'new toys' from the Summer Mini catalogue I don't know what to play with first !

Have you taken a look at the new goodies available ? If not I've added a link to the right so take a peep. Also did you know that Stampin Up have got a new Starter Kit. The price is now only £99 and you can choose your own goodies to the value of £130 and you get some business basics worth £45 !!! Bargain ! If that wasn't enough then anyone who joins in May gets a free registration to the European Stampin Up Convention in Germany (worth £149). You would just need to arrange your travel and  accommodation. If you're interested please email me on mrsjuliewade@sky.com and we can arrange an informal natter to answer any questions you might have.

Back to the cards- Todays colour combination is Pool Party and Basic Gray, love it !

This was a gatefold card and very difficult to photograph. The flower is made using the new punch and I have used the coordinating Mixed Bunch set to decorate the inside.

Love the texture from the Manhattan Flower embossing folder

This one uses the Sail Away A La carte stamp set with some new products, white Bakers twine and paper from the Twitterpated set. These are lovely papers because there are some very pretty, floral ones but also some more masculine patterns and some that would make perfect backgrounds to stamp onto.

The paper is another one from this pack and this time I have cut the stamped flower to turn it into a pretty butterfly. Also see the new scalloped edge ?That's done with the very useful Edgelits, think I will be using these a lot lol !

I also used the Petal cone die to make this triangular shaped box. Hope you like and enjoy the Bank Holiday whatever you are up to !
