Everyday Enchantment

Morning all,

Sorry I have been missing this week but I've not been very well so not much crafting going on  :(

I do have something to show you though using the gorgeous Everday Enchantment papers that are FREE at the moment with orders of £45.

Colours are Pool Party and Calypso Coral - doesn't the square lattice embossing look good with the ruffled ribbon ?
And picking out another colour from these papers ..............................

Love this little bag that I saw on Jules blog. These papers are perfect for Spring and it's lovely to see a bit of sunshine this morning- can't believe that last weekend we woke up to a (surprise) covering of snow !

What a difference a week makes ! Hope you've had a good one x

A Perfect match

Happy Saturday to you all !

Today is the last of my romantic themed posts - a couple of scrapbook pages.

When Hubby and I got married I knew he would love to wear his beloved 'Old Gold and Black' , (not the orange they play in now !!! ) As a surprise I told him the colour scheme for him and the bridesmaids etc was green and even got him to try the waistcoat etc on . The hire shop were brilliant and he was kept in the dark right until  he had to go and collect them for  the big day ! We did have a few confused looking guests who thought they had turned up at the wrong wedding - I must have done a good job of convincing everyone lol !

We even got married at 3 o'clock  on a Saturday, so he would know what time 'kick-off' was lol !!!'

Colours are Very Vanilla, Crumb Cake and So Saffron. The crochet trim and pearls are just perfect for all things wedding related.

Stamps are I {heart} Hearts and Everything Eleanor.
Hope you enjoyed sharing my special day - just wish I could still fit in the dress lol !

Wednesday, 15 February 2012

Well ,after the footie result on Sunday I don't think I'd better mention it again - Wolves lost 5 - 1 to arch rivals West Brom ! Hubby was soo pleased he's on holiday this week so he didn't have to face the humiliation at work. And now they've sacked the manager so if you know any miracle workers out there , the address is Molineux Stadium, Wolverhampton lol !!!

Yesterday I was sooo busy opening all my Valentines and arranging all the hundreds of roses that I didn't get chance to talk to you ----ok maybe not ......... but I did get to have a lovely chat with Jules as she made a flying ( or even dancing) visit somewhere near to me.

Hubby asked me last week if I'd made him a Valentine and I did confess that I'd got a sample left from my class, very romantic eh ? I DID actually make it for him ( and the ladies were threatened not to get any ink etc on it ) and thanks to the Sale-a-bration freebies it was very personal to us. 'Our song' has always been Just the Way you are by Billy Joel so this stamp was just perfect...........
We had this as our first dance when we got married and when I mentioned it to my girls they looked at me with amazement and said what Bruno Mars ?!! I'm obviously not as 'down with the kids' as they thought lol !
Anyway, best show you the rest of the card.................

Equally romantic, he asked me if I wanted him to buy me one - he knows I think shop cards are a waste of money ( although maybe a bargain compared to me spending £45 just to get that special stamp lol !!!). I told him not to bother but I got a lovely surprise when he 'commissioned' Isabel to make me one from him..................

So sweet and means so much more . Hope you all had a good day with those that are special to you x

Love is in the air

Hiya all,

Just a quickie today because it's half time and I am watching Wolves v West Brom on the telly. Up until the last minute Wolves were losing 1 - 0 but ( dare I say, undeservedly) they equalised so lets hope they can go on and win as Hubby and Sophie are daft enough to brave the cold to watch it live !

Anyway, as I promised I will show you what we made at my Wednesday class this week. We also welcolmed a new lady- hello Liz !

Colours are Crumb Cake and Very Vanilla and images are from Wedding Wheels and Marry Me. You probably can't see from this picture but the veil has been stamped again on vellum. We also made another card inspired by one I'd seen on Jules' blog. This is the wedding version but some of the ladies made it with red and turned it into a Valentine..........

Favour box is made with the Pillow Box die and tied with Crumb Cake taffeta ribbon.

Right off to watch the rest of the match- Come on Wolves! Regular readers will be pleased to hear he has now given up on the 'lucky pants' lol !

Happy Birthday Louise

Morning all !

Nice and bright and sunny this morning even if still cold. Today Louise from my Wednesday class is celebrating a special birthday - 21 today !!!  I was 21 last year too, it just happened to be for the second time lol !
On Wednesday we had a cake with singing and candles and this is the card I made for her.........

Bunting was made using the Pennant Punch and the Just Perfect alphabet with some Itty Bitty flowers. Colours are Pretty in Pink, Pool Party and Rose Red, numbers were cut using the Timeless Type alphabet and of course there had to be a cupcake !
Added a bit of bunting to the inside too !

Louise, many congratulations and hope you have a fab day and enjoy your special tea party !! x

Back soon to show you what the ladies made on Wednesday.

Simply Soft

Evening all,

Brrrrrrrrrrrr It's been a chilly one today and there's even some of the white stuff forecast for tomorrow ! Think I might have to hibernate lol.

Todays card use one of the excellent value hostess sets called Simply Soft............

I love this dramatic combination of Basic Black with Bashful Blue and these are such beautiful stamps.
I also transformed a cheap and nasty notebook..........

Much better now !

Anway, short and sweet today as I am busy making some wedding samples so I'll show you those another time.

Keep  warm x
