Bundle of love

Evening all,

Hope you've all managed to enjoy some of the recent Spring sunshine. Lets us believe there is light at the end of the tunnel ! I have even ventured out to cut the lawn this weekend and its lovely to see some bulbs flowering in the garden.

Recently my next door neighbours had a long awaited baby boy and this is the personalised card I made for him..............

Colours are Marina Mist, Bashful Blue and Crumb Cake and stamps from Bundle of Love and Letter It. I also made a picture for him to hang in the nursery.............

Bit difficult to to avoid the reflection lol !

Nice to be able to make some Tiny Tags and personalise with his name and date of birth. They were very pleased with it and are even going to buy a matching frame to hang the card in too !

I've not mentioned the football for a while but at the time of writing Wolves are actually winning ! This is such a rare event this season I thought it deserved a mention. Hope I don't jinx the result, they urgently need the 3 points. Keep your fingers crossed x

Hello and hope you've had a good weekend.

We have now finished the decorating and I think everything is back in the correct room - I can actually see the floor in my bedroom  again now so I suppose that means its back to hoovering lol ! Might have some crafty time again soon.

Todays cards are some from a while ago that I don't think I've shown you. Colours are Rich Razzleberry, Perfect Plum and Pool Party............

Stamping has been done with the lovely Summer Silhouettes set- love playing with this set

This time the boat has been stamped from the Moving Forward set and paper pieced with Pool Party designer paper. Like how the chevrons give the design some movement.

This was made using the two tags die and some of the FREE Sale-a-bration sets and inside..........

.....a mini sewing kit, perfect for your handbag.  Thank you Liz for sending me these .

Hope you like ? x

Happy Valentine's Day

Evening all,

I expect you are all to busy opening the sackfuls of cards and arranging the million bouquets of roses ? No, me neither but I always think its the little everyday things that count !

I decided to use the More Amore papers from the new Spring/Summer catalogue along with a stamp from the new That's the Ticket set- I love that set and am sure I will be using it a lot.

Sorry the picture is a bit blurry but I was waiting for it to be light enough before I rushed out of the door this morning and now it's too dark to take another one.

I put some little love hearts in the mini milk carton-  hope the messages are appropriate lol ! Colours are Pool Party, Primrose Petals and Raspberry Ripple.

Hubby knows I am disapprove of the price of some of the nicer shop bought cards so he 'commissioned' Isabel to make one for me, knowing it would mean so much more. She hadn't seen the card I made but helped herself to some scraps from my desk and this is what she came up with.................

Lovely isn't it ? Think I might get her to design my next class !

So now we have matching His n Hers cards on the mantelpiece   - I ( heart) Stampin' Up !

Madison Avenue

Happy Saturday,

Hope you are all well ?  Got any more of the white stuff ? It tried here this morning but thankfully not for very long, although they are threatening some more tomorrow - let's hope not !

At my Wednesday class this week we used a lot of items that can be potentially earned free with a qualifying order. Colours are Island Indigo and Tangerine Tango ...........

Stamp set is the SAB set Madison Avenue and the sentiment is from Itty Bitty Banners which is also potentially free.

Can you see my sewing with the Pool Party twine through the punch ? Well, that's about as good as it gets as far as me and sewing are concerned lol !

We also made another card using yet more freebies and an ATC/Gift card wallet that I saw on Anne-Maries blog

I also made an ATC too and decorated the wallet with some designer paper ( free, of course ).

Right , time to tidy up before the (not so ) Happy Wanderers return from the football.

Have a good weekend x

Evening all,

Sorry I have been missing last week , just busy, busy, busy. As well as my card making I had 3 orders for bouquets to do and a bit of DIY going on too ! Or not going on and 29 boxes etc being stored in our bedroom ! Why does emptying one room cause chaos across the whole house ?

I have now added the fabby new Spring/Summer catalogue link  so if you haven't seen it yet, click to the right and have a look. There are some gorgeous things inside- I think the papers are really nice this time and I love the ticket stamps.

Todays card uses another new set , Hearts a Flutter and the matching Framelits (available as a bundle )

Very simple and quick to make too ! Colours are Calypso Coral and Very Vanilla on Naturals Ivory.

I'm sure this set might be used again next week, off to plan my love-themed class !

Moving Forward (and slipping backwards! )

Yippeee the snow has gone !

It was lovely yesterday to get up and see the world had changed back to colour overnight as everywhere had been white for over a week.
I think I must be getting old because I used to get excited about snow but last week it was just a nuisance. I got my car stuck one day and I also fell over on the ice. I don't think I would have got many technical marks on Dancing on Ice but Jason Gardiner may have given me some points for performance as my keys and money were scattered everywhere and Isabel burst into tears !
I was lucky though because although I banged my head on the floor , there was no serious damage. Isn't there a saying ' Where there's no sense, there's no feeling ' lol. I do however have a very pretty bruise in a lovely shade of Elegant Eggplant/ Midnight Muse but fortunately its in a very ' well cushioned'  position and out of public view  !!

Today's card is using a stamp from Moving Forward but I have also used the Sale-a-bration freebie Bloomin Marvelous flower to create an effective background.........

Pretty isn't it ? Fresh and Spring like, although that may be wishful thinking for a while longer !

Isabel's baking class had to be cancelled the previous weekend  and this Saturday evening our street was still covered in ice....

That's not water, it's the shine from solid ice. We then had another heavy snow shower and then overnight it  all disappeared and Isabel was pleased to go to baking.
This week was quite challenging as she had to try and replicate some characters and I think she did very well.....
Tasted yummy too !

Lets hope the weather causes everyone less problems this week x

Bloomin Marvelous

Just a quickie card today using the lovely flower from the FREE Sale-a-bration set  Bloomin Marvelous......

I love the look of stamping on to newsprint paper. Colours are Pool Party, Perfect Plum and Rich Razzleberry. Think I will be using this set a lot !

We have had MORE snow overnight, and it's still coming down. I'm getting a bit fed up of it now  but I will leave you with some pretty pictures from the walk to school.....

and my 12 inch ruler has nearly disappeared in the undisturbed snow in the back garden !
