Getting organised

Evening all,

Guess what I've been doing this afternoon..................wrapping Christmas pressies !!!

Yes I know it's sad but I was fed up of the bags everywhere in my craft room - I can only work in a mess if it's my mess lol !

They are ready to be sent to Santa now so the space has now been filled with my new Elegant Soiree design papers which came yesterday and I just keep looking at and stroking ! Is it me or do they smell nice too ?

Todays card is very quick and simple but the colours (Basic Black and Melon Mambo ) make it look striking.

Vintage Vogue and sentiment from Occasional Greetings. Very easy to make when you need a quick card - I think I will be trying this again in different colour combinations !

Off to phone Santa to tell him to expect a delivery , wonder if he uses the UPS man lol !!!

Dasher

Hi all , hope you are having a good half- term.

We have had a few busy days, took the girls to see the Illuminations at Blackpool and as it was absolutely freezing we had a fun day in the Tower. The circus was brill and it was fun walking over the glass square at the top of the Tower.

We also went to watch Wolves play Man Utd at Old Trafford in the Carling Cup. Hubby was devastated that Wolves lost 3 -2 with only 33 secs left !!! I think they need to concentrate on the League anyway lol!

Did some Christmas shopping too at the Trafford Centre so as my spare room now looks in complete chaos I thought I would show you a Christmas card using Dasher.

This stamp is such good value at £7.95 and makes it so easy to make cards in large numbers.
Colours are Basic Black and Real Red and due to the freezing weather in Blackpool on Monday , I have given Dasher a little scarf to keep him warm lol !

Crumb Cake

Morning all on this very frosty morning,

I'm normally up early on a Sunday morning doing the ironing ( I always leave it til the last possible day cos I hate it lol ) but today as Hubby and the girls are off next week and there are no vital uniforms/shirts required I thought I would talk to you instead !!

Whilst making my recent pirate cards I used a pack of 'Neutrals' that I must confess had been neglected due to all the other lovely colours I've got, and inside I discovered Crumb Cake !

Yes, I don't know where I've been either but I think it's one of those colours that only 'comes alive' when you start using it !
Guess which colour I used it with ................ Baja Breeze, I'm sooo predictable lol !

Love the little owl ! Oh and yes I have had some new square Nesties and I love them!

Don't know why I hadn't discovered Crumb Cake before -it matches perfectly in my hall where I take a lot of my photos !

Suppose I better go and do a bit of ironing - I'm sure the skinny jeans will be required ( Girls not Hubby lol !) x

Last of the Pirates

Hi, hope you are all well.

I did manage to go to floristry this week , but as we have half term next week ,we did a Halloween design today. As it's a little bit early yet I thought I would save that and show you nearer the date - if I don't forget !

Todays card is the last of my unofficial pirate week - bit more traditional this time .......

Like the White Kraft ink to make the background. Colours are Real Red, Basic Black and Basic Grey.

Thanks again Jules for the pirate images - I've loved playing with them !

A REAL Greenhouse Garden Pirate !

Today, I HAVE used flowers with the pirate images !!

After making yesterdays card and putting that I hadn't actually used the flowers I thought - why not ?

So todays creation sounds like I HAVE gone completely mad - Greenhouse Garden AND Vintage Vogue flowers AND Melon Mambo with the pirate set !!!

Who said this set had to be just for the boys ?

Bet you can't wait to see what it looks like .................

My daughters think its 'cool' and although its different I think I sort of like it.

What do you think ???

Greenhouse Garden Pirate

Hiya,

Thank you all for your good wishes and patience in waiting for a card - and I HAVE got one to show you today !

Recently the lovely Jules sent me some stamped images to play with ( thanks Jules you really cheered me up ! x ) and they were mainly from the new Make a Monster and Pirate sets.

I must confess that these sets weren't on my wish list as I thought they ' weren't really me ' but guess what ..... I LOVE them !!!

Whilst in bed last week I read the catty (again ! ) from cover to cover and placed an order (boredom can be soo expensive lol !) which included the Monsters, just because they had made me smile !

I still can't say I was convinced about the pirates though but this morning I have been able to play and I am amazed at how much I have enjoyed using them.

I bet you are a bit confused about todays title - Greenhouse Garden and pirates ???! No, I haven't gone completely mad but because my new design papers haven't arrived yet I needed to make a background to match the pirate image. Maybe not the first set that comes to mind but you know I like my stamps to push the boundaries ......................

Okay so I didn't use the flowers but I think the stem makes a good sword inspired background.
What do you think ?

Colours are Basic Grey, Basic Black, Whisper White and Marina Mist - suitably dark and brooding !

Normally on a Monday I look after my gorgeous little nephew but as I'm still not up to chasing around after a toddler , I'm home alone and going to 'play'.
After all Hubby did make me promise not to do any housework and ( just for once ) I think I should do as I'm told lol !!!

Back soon with another pirate x

You shy lot !

Well aren't you all a shy lot !!!!

I have had over 110 visits since my last post but no one has recommended that I take a read of their blog !

I am feeling a bit better but haven't managed any stamping yet so as it's Friday and I've also missed my floristry class, I thought in good old Blue Peter fashion I would show you 'one I made earlier' lol !

A few weeks ago we had to make an arrangement inspired by a handbag, so I decided mine was going to be a Radley bag. (Hubby once tried to cut the tag off my real Radley bag - MEN ! )

Can you spot the Rich Razzleberry and Melon Mango ?

Hopefully I will be up and about soon but if you do visit PLEASE let me see what you've been up to - I know you're there !!!

Enjoy the weekend x
