Crumb Cake has gone !

DON'T PANIC, it's not on the retired list- I'm talking about my usual photo place lol !

I normally take my photos in the hall and it was almost a Crumb Cake colour but this week we're having the hall, stairs and landing decorated- and boy are we in a mess !!!

The bedrooms have got paste tables, ladders ,paint etc in and the whole house is covered in a layer of white dust ! Can't wait til it's finished and I can tidy up - I have even been glad to go to work !

Todays cards are made using the gorgeous Springtime Vintage papers which are only available for a few more days- I must confess to ordering another pack as I love them so much !

The flower is made by cutting into two scalloped circles. Colours are Melon Mambo and Pear Pizzazz.A girly owl this time and some seam binding ribbon.

If you NEED any of this paper before its gone forever please get in touch.

Off to try and find my bed x

Sneak Peek

Evening all

Friday again, the weeks seem to be flying by faster than ever ! There's even Christmas items in the shops already !

I think I'm safe to show you my latest memory box now. A friend at work saw my wedding one and asked if I would make one for her daughter's 21st birthday. Bright colours were requested which gave me the ideal opportunity to play with a new pack of designer papers I had pre ordered.....................

Do you like ? Isn't that new paper fantastic ? Colours are Melon Mambo and Pumpkin Pie and I have stamped with I {heart} Hearts and Trendy Trees.

Let's take a closer look at the Fun Flower on top...........

The Melon Mambo layer is matching FABRIC !! Yes fabric , which opens the door for loads of new projects - if only I could sew lol !!!

Of course there was a card to match and again the so useful Timeless Type alphabet allowed me to personalise it...........................

The detail on the paper is so beautiful that it was able to take centre stage. Not many more days until the new catalogue goes live so if you would like to order anything please get in touch.

Thanks for looking and have a good weekend x

French Foliage

Evening all, are we well ?

This morning I saw the UPS van turn into my street and for a few seconds I got really excited, until I quickly realised I wasn't waiting for an order and so it wasn't my house he would be coming to !

However I did realise I still had a stamp set from my last order that I hadn't used yet. How bad is that lol ?

I must confess that French Foliage wasn't a set that jumped out at me but I have seen some beautiful cards made by Vicky and so thought it would be good to try something different.

Today I needed some paper to write little notes to post out with the new catalogues so I decided it would be a good way of seeing what my new stamps look like...............

Just a bit of random stamping, literally only took me a minute - I think it took longer to clean the stamps lol !!! Perfect for a bright, autumnal day.

Now I just need to find some time to explore this set properly !

I haven't forgotten I was going to show you the memory box but I haven't had confirmation that the birthday girl has received it yet- I don't think she reads my blog but I would hate to spoil any surprises !

Back soon x

Sneak Peek

Hiya all,

Todays projects incorporate both the old and the new ! I have used the beautiful Bella Toile background stamp which is sadly retiring in just a few more days :0(

But............ I also have a sneak peek of some fab NEW ribbon that I was lucky enough to be able to preorder ! So do you want to see ?

Colours are Baja Breeze and Chocolate Chip. Isn't the new scalloped, spotty ribbon gorgeous ? It will be available in lots more colours soon too, definitely on my wish list lol !

The sentiments are from Oval All, punched out with the scallop oval punch and layered onto one of the Four Frames

Also made a little box to house the cards and their envelopes.

Have also been making another memory box but can't show you til next time to make sure the recipient has received it safely !

If you would like to order some of this new ribbon, or find out about the other colours available please get in touch x

Mom or Mum ?

Do you say Mom or Mum ? In our house it's always been Mom although I know that in some parts of the country it's Mum ,or even Mam.

Anyway today it is my Mom's birthday ( and my Sister in law) so here is my Mom card.

It's very similiar to the one I made for Jules a few months ago but the eagle eyed amongst you will notice that it was much quicker and easier to do the bunting this time ;) !

I still chose to create my own Cath Kidston style pattern using Baby Blossoms. The colours are Marina Mist , Pretty in Pink and Rose Red and the ribbon is retiring soon so get it quick if you 'need' some !

Happy Birthday Mom !

I {heart} Hearts

Hiya all,

It's been a bit on the blowy side today hasn't it ? Never mind, it covered up the bad hair lol !

Back with some more of my wedding project. Inside the box I painted and decorated a small heart to start the keepsake collection

I {heart } Hearts and Tiny Tags again ! Stamped in Crumb Cake on Whisper White.

And here is the card to match, a large 8x8 personalised with the happy couples names and the now & forever sentiment is from Occasional Greetings. This set is retiring and is a bargain at the moment.

I can guarantee they won't get another one the same lol !

Hope you liked my wedding set ? It was very satisfying to make a personalised gift for someones special day. I also handstamped some kraft coloured paper with the hearts in Whisper White ink, forgot to photograph but it all looked very co ordinated - made with love !

Mr & Mrs

Evening all, had a good week ?

We have survived the first week back at school even though it wasn't a full one, so hopefully the morning routine will be smoother next week !

I have now finished the wedding project I mentioned previously. It was for a friend at work who is getting married abroad and although it took a while I am pleased with the finished results.

I started with one boring , brown box.............

and lots of painting, inking and stamping later I created this memory box for her to keep her special mementos in..................

The papers are from SU but they are from the sadly retired Bella Bleu range. Thought if I was going to buy some new papers I'd better use some of the ones that retired a year ago lol !

Hubby couldn't understand why I spent ages painting the box white only to 'dirty' it again ! His words not mine lol !

The sides are decorated with hearts from I {heart} Hearts with pretty pearls.

The plaque on the top is cut from chipboard as I wanted it to be chunky, but it shows how easily the Big Shot cuts through thicker material- even the perforations are perfect !

More stamping, inking and embossing and the Fun Flower is finished off with some Tiny Tags.

Hope you like ? Come back next time and I'll show you the card and what I made to put inside.

Have a good weekend x

Quiet, oh so quiet !

Morning all,

I'm home alone today and it's sooo quiet !!! Isabel went back to school yesterday and Sophie today so after a mad rush this morning ( Sophie now has to be at school 40 mins earlier than before ) the chaos has subsided and the house is silent.

I do have something to look forward to today as I am expecting a delivery of my new goodies so I hope they can come early so I can play - note to self must remember I have got to pick Isabel up today lol !!!

Todays cards are inspired by a recent visit to Cannock Chase and the gorgeous heather that is out now

So it had to be Perfect Plum and it's another Whotsie Whotsit lol !

I have also used some Crumb Cake and made some of my own patterned paper by stamping with one of the little flourishes from the Tiny Tags set. The flower has been made by punching 2 scalloped circles and cutting in to them.

Sorry the colours are not quite right but its a dark morning here. The For you sentiment is from Occasional Greetings which is reduced on the Last Chance list and contains some really useful sentiments.

I also made a small square card and this time the flower has been stamped with the flourish from Baroque motifs as I think its been a bit neglected of late lol !

Finally I have had some lovely comments from some new followers so hello ladies. I am still amazed and extremely flattered that people read my ramblings, from the other side of the world is unbelievable !

Thank you to ALL my readers and if you stop by please leave me a comment - I love to know I'm not talking to myself !

Contempo Christmas

Evening all, how are we ?

Another busy week gone by, including the mid week excitement of getting a peek at the new catalogue. I was up waaay past my bed time but it was worth it !!

As a demonstrator I have been lucky enough to be able to pre order some of the new goodies to play with so watch this space lol.

Sadly , the Last Chance list was also announced and there are some fab items that will soon be gone forever. Check out the website as some items are reduced by up to 40 %. Please contact me if you'd like to order anything- once they're gone , they're gone, forever !

Todays cards are made using the Contempo Christmas set that my 'crafty' friend Angie kindly let me borrow, thanks Angie !

Still used Cherry Cobbler but this time teamed it with Chocolate Chip and Crumb Cake.

This is a large 8x8 card and just uses the sentiments that come with this set. Both of these sentiments are lovely and with added rhinestones and some wide ribbon, this card has a very luxurious feel. Hearts from I {heart} Hearts stamped in Crumb Cake to create a tone on tone background.

Now I must get back to my latest project, something a bit more time consuming that I've not attempted before. Also I've got a deadline to finish it so fingers crossed it turns out okay. Hopefully I'll be able to show you soon - if it's a major disaster I'll just forget I ever mentioned it lol !!
